The official and legal name of this organization shall be: "Fargo-Moorhead Human Resource Association". Hereinafter referred to as the Association. This organization shall be a chartered chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.
The purpose of the Association is to:
Section 1. Promote investigation, research, and inter-change of ideas among members relating to every phase of human resource management including employment, personnel planning and placement; compensation and benefits; training and development; employee and labor relations; health and safety; and personnel research. It shall be the intent that this purpose cover the broad overall functioning of human resource utilization within organizations.
Section 2. Enhance the professional development of the members.
Section 3. Provide leadership in the field of human resource utilization in order to assist in developing and maintaining a competent work force.
Section 4. Promote membership in the Society For Human Resource Management for all members of FMHRA, especially Board members.
The Association Year shall be from January 1 to December 31.
The Association shall have such classes of members as shall be provided in the Bylaws; and the qualifications and rights of each class shall be as provided in the Bylaws.
The affairs of the Association shall be managed by the officers and Board of Directors as prescribed in the Bylaws.
In the event of the dissolution of the Association, which shall be valid only upon an affirmation vote by two-thirds of all regular members, all assets remaining after the payment of any outstanding liabilities shall be distributed as designated by the membership at the time of the dissolution.
The Constitution of the Association may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the regular members present at an Association meeting, provided written notice of proposed amendments has been given to all members at least ten days prior to the meeting.
