Program Summary: 

This will be a high level review of the employer mandate and the 2015 and 2016 impacts to large groups.  They will also review minimum essential reporting required by the IRS for all groups beginning in 2016. 

     

Learning Objectives: 

1. Understand obligations as an employer group in offering a group health plan.

2. Importance of assigning clear eligibility guidelines for enrollment into a group health plan.

3. Importance of tracking employment history and hours for IRS reporting.

4. Understand employer mandate reporting obligations and deadlines to the IRS.


About the Speaker: 

Jessica Stimpson is the Health Care Reform Advisor from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. She has been working in health care reform for about 2.5 years but has been with BCBSND nearly 10 years. Jessica graduated from the University of North Dakota and is a Fargo native.
