The Health Care Reform landscape is constantly changing, so it is important to keep abreast of the legislation and deadlines. This session will bring you up-to-date with the latest Affordable Care Act developments, and will also discuss documentation and reporting requirements including how to complete the forms, the importance of a review, and what to do when in receipt of an IRS notice. Common questions and examples will be explored.
1. Review the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and current updates
2. Discuss common misinterpretations of the ACA
3. Discuss the importance of identifying and documenting measurement periods
4. Outline current reporting requirements including IRC Section 6055 and 6056
About the Speaker:
Tonya Rule, CPA, Senior Manager
Tonya has more than 15 years public accounting experience providing tax and consulting services to individuals and businesses. She works with clients in various industries including health care, transportation, retail and personal service. Tonya leads the health care reform initiative for the Firm and serves as a thought leader related to the Affordable Care Act. She regularly presents workshops and writes articles on health care reform and tax planning tips and strategies.
